Rice porridge with apples
Ingredients
- 0.5 glass round rice
- 2 pcs apples
- 40 gram butter
- 1-1.5 teaspoon Sahara
- 1.5 glass water or milk
Instructions
- Pour the liquid into a saucepan. Add salt to taste and 1–1.5 tablespoons of sugar, and bring to the boil. While the milk is still boiling, peel, core, and pit the apples, then cut into thin slices.
- Add 20 grams of butter to the pan, stir and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Add half a cup of rice and cook, covered, for 10 minutes. Don't wait for the liquid to evaporate completely; the rice should absorb it. To check if it's ready, look at the rice's appearance and taste it.
- Place the chopped fruit pieces in a saucepan. Don't forget to add the remaining 20 grams of butter. Stir the mixture and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
- Let it steep for 10 minutes, covered, and your breakfast is ready. Why not let the water or milk boil away completely? The rice absorbs it as it steeps.
