Blackthorn and apple compote for the winter
Ingredients
- 200 G. blackthorn
- 2 pcs. apples
- 1 Art. Sahara
- 1.5 l. water
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients, washing the fruit in advance.
- Wash a 1.5-liter jar with its lid in hot water with baking soda and rinse thoroughly. Fill it with 2 cm of water and microwave for 4 minutes to sterilize. Boil the lid for 10 minutes over medium heat.
- Drain the water. Cut the apples into wedges, removing the cores first. Place them on the bottom.
- Add sloe.
- Pour boiling water over the mixture and cover with a lid. Leave for 15 minutes.
- Pour the cooled boiling water from the jar into a saucepan and add sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Pour boiling broth into the jar and seal. Turn it upside down and wrap it in a towel or other covering. Store in a cool, dark place until it cools.
