Ingredients

  • 2-3 pcs. chicken eggs
  • 90 G crab sticks
  • 85 G apples
  • 40 G cheese
  • 3-5 tbsp mayonnaise

Instructions

  • First, boil the eggs. Cool them, and then separate the yolks from the whites.
  • Grate the egg whites finely and place them on a plate. Spread mayonnaise on this first layer.
  • Remove the protective film from the crab sticks. Grate them finely, just like the egg whites, and then place them on top of the egg whites as a second layer.
  • Peel the apples, grate them coarsely, and place them on top of the crab sticks.
  • Spread a couple more spoons of mayonnaise on top to hold the structure together.
  • Finely grate the cheese (hard cheese is best). Place it as the fourth layer. If the cheese is too dry, add another tablespoon of mayonnaise on top.
  • Finely grate the egg yolks directly over the salad. Spread them evenly over the dish.
  • Let the salad sit in the refrigerator for 40 minutes to allow it to soak in.

Note

Even such a simple and delicious recipe can't be complete without subtleties and nuances in preparation. The dish can be made even more delicious by following these recommendations:
It's best to use chilled crab sticks for cooking, not frozen ones. Chilled crab sticks have a less dense and watery texture, so they'll simply fall apart and turn into mush in a salad. Don't skimp on them; choose only fresh and juicy ones.
- For the salad, choose firm, ripe, sweet and tart apples. Many people choose sour varieties, but this is not recommended, as overly sour apples can significantly ruin the flavor of the finished salad. Overly sweet apples are also unsuitable, as they won't impart enough tang.
Use eggs that are free-range, with large, bright yolks. Pay attention to their freshness. Stale eggs can ruin the flavor of the finished salad.
