Apple jam in the oven
Apples are an affordable and healthy fruit, familiar to us from childhood. Eating apples is essential for getting the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other beneficial substances necessary for health. This fruit contains vitamins A, C, PP, B1, B2, and E, as well as the minerals: iron, calcium, iodine, potassium, selenium, and zinc. They improve brain function and strengthen the cardiovascular system.
An even more delicious way to enjoy this healthy fruit is to make jam from it. Who doesn't love that?

Apple jam in the oven
Ingredients
- 1 kg apples
- 700 G Sahara
- 1/2 Art. water
- on the tip of a knife citric acid
Instructions
- Wash the apples thoroughly, peel, and core them. Cut the apple flesh into small pieces. Place them in cold water, adding a pinch of citric acid to prevent the apples from browning.
- Drain the lemon juice after 5 minutes. Place the apples in a small saucepan and add ½ cup of clean water. Place the saucepan on the stove, cover, and simmer over low heat until the apples soften.
- Remove the saucepan with the apples from the heat and puree the contents using a blender, gradually adding the sugar. It's best to add the sugar gradually, as there's a risk of adding too much (apples vary in sweetness).
- Place the uncovered pan of applesauce in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Leave the oven door slightly ajar and cook for 2.5–3 hours. It's best to use convection mode, but if you don't have one, that's okay.
- During the cooking process, take out the dessert, stir the contents and put it back.
- After the specified time, remove the pan from the oven, stir the contents, and check for doneness. The jam should be fairly thick in consistency and brown or slightly amber in color.
- Pour the hot jam into pre-sterilized jars. Close the jars with lids and turn them upside down. After cooling, store them in a cool place.
