Rosehip and apple compote for the winter
On cold winter evenings, you crave the scent of summer. Making apple and rosehip compote is a great way to not only rekindle memories of warm, sunny days but also provide your body with essential vitamins. Making this aromatic drink is very easy; all you need is the right ingredients and the right recipe.

Rosehip, apple and lemon compote
Ingredients
- 1 l water
- 3 pcs. apples
- 60 G rose hips
- 3 tbsp Sahara
- 1/2 pcs. lemon
Instructions
- Wash the rose hips thoroughly, cut the apples and lemon into slices and cover with water, placing all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Pour in the required amount of water and bring the liquid to a boil.
- Keep the pan on the heat for another 5 minutes and carefully remove the apples from the water.
- Place the fruit in a pre-sterilized jar and pour in the compote for rolling.
Note
- - It is recommended to use sweet varieties of apples, this will minimize fruit breakdown during blanching.
- - If you are using fresh rose hips, you need to blanch them together with the apples or lightly freeze the fruit before cooking.
- - It is recommended to place dried rose hips in boiling water along with apples and cook for 8-10 minutes.
