- 1 fresh carrots
- 1 apple
- 200 G cabbage
- 1 boiled beets
- 2 l. olive oil
- sesame (to taste)
Shred the cabbage and press it lightly to release the juice.
Grate the boiled beets, apple and carrot on a medium grater.
Mix the ingredients together and season with oil.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and season with lemon juice if desired.
If you don't want to bother with cooking beets, buy pre-packaged beets. 250-gram bags are often found in large supermarkets.
If you don't want to buy store-bought beets but need to cook them as quickly as possible, microwave them in a bowl filled with 100 ml of water for a couple of minutes. This will reduce the cooking time.
When choosing cabbage, choose heads of cabbage that are pale green in color; they are juicier and ripen earlier.
To grate an apple without turning it into puree, divide the fruit into 4 parts and grate on a coarse grater.
