Chokeberry jam with apples

- 1 kg chokeberry
- 500 G apples
- 1.5 kg Sahara

Combine rowan berries and apples in a large saucepan, add sugar and water, and mix everything together.
Bring the contents of the pan to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 2–2.5 hours until the jam reaches the desired consistency.

Chokeberries are very sour, so it's best to maintain a fruit to sugar ratio of 2 to 3.
If the boiling water evaporates quickly, you can add hot water to prevent the jam from drying out.
If you add cloves and cinnamon, the jam will acquire additional aroma and taste.
The finished delicacy can be stored at room temperature for a year.
