Bulk Apple Pie

This apple pie will become your favorite summer-fall treat, as this is when apples are ripe and ready to be used. It's easy to make, the recipe is quick to memorize, and there's no dough to knead. It's delicious, aromatic, well-dipped, moist, and topped with a crispy caramel crust. It's also a great treat to serve to guests.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup Sahara (200g)
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder (1 sachet - 10 g)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon as desired
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla sugar (or vanillin)
  • 1 kg apples (about 4 large apples)
  • powdered sugar
  • 30-100 gram butter

Instructions
 

  • Combine the prepared ingredients in a bowl: semolina, flour, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder. Line the bottom of a baking pan with parchment paper, grease it with butter, and fill it with one-third of the dry mixture.
  • Grate the washed and peeled apples (or leave them on) on a coarse grater and spread half of them over the dry mixture, smoothing them out with a spoon. Top with a second layer of dry mixture. Next, add another layer of apples, followed by the dry "dough." This will create three layers of dry mixture and two layers of fruit filling. The final layer is dry. You can make a pie with four "cakes" and three layers of grated apples.
  • Next, prepare the milk filling: add a piece of butter to the warm milk, stir, and pour the hot mixture over the pie, piercing the surface with a fork as often as possible so that it is completely soaked and there are no dry spots left.
  • Then place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about an hour. Let cool in the pan.
  • Take it out, remove the paper, sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy the fragrant pie, enjoying the apple flavor.

Note

  • Cinnamon can be added to the apple mixture, not to the dry mixture.
  • To prevent the apple filling from darkening, sprinkle it with lemon juice.
  • The apples should be very juicy.
  • You can use half an apple and half a pear, or any berry filling (not dried), canned pineapple, or peaches. You can also add an orange pureed in a blender.
