Puff pastry pies with apples

Puff pastry apple pies are a delicious and healthy dessert that can be quickly made using store-bought puff pastry. These pastries require only a few ingredients and time. Even a novice cook can bake delicious apple puffs using this recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg ready-made yeast puff pastry
  • 5-7 pcs medium-sized apples
  • 1 pcs egg
  • 30-40 gram Sahara
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Store-bought ready-made yeast dough should be removed from the refrigerator and defrosted as directed.
  • While the dough is thawing, you can prepare the filling. To do this, wash the apples, peel them, core them, and cut them into small cubes.
  • Roll out the thawed dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of 0.5 cm and cut into squares with sides of 12–15 cm. Moisten the edges of each square with water using a silicone brush.
  • Place a full tablespoon of apple filling in the center of each square and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Connect the edges of the squares together to form an envelope.
  • Break the egg, separating the yolk from the white, and beat the yolk until smooth.
  • Brush the finished pies with egg yolk using a silicone brush and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
  • Bake the apple puff pastries for 50 minutes. They will rise and become golden brown during baking. Once done, remove from the oven, place on a large, flat plate, cool slightly, and dust with powdered sugar.

Note

To ensure fluffy pies, the puff pastry dough needs time to rise. Therefore, don't put the pies in the oven right away; instead, let them sit on a baking sheet in a warm place for about half an hour.
To prevent the filling from leaking while baking, choose soft apples and add sugar before baking. This will prevent the apple juice from forming.
