Caramel apples on a stick

Caramel apples
Ingredients
- 2 pcs small red apples
- 250 G Sahara
- 30 ml water
- 2 G red food coloring
- 1 tbsp colored sprinkles
Instructions
- First, wash the apples thoroughly, as the caramel won't adhere to wax-coated fruit. You can do this with a special cleaner, baking soda, and a brush. Next, remove the stems from both sides and refrigerate the apples.

- Dissolve the dye in the prepared water and stir.

- Take a convenient saucepan (it should not be too wide and preferably tall) and transfer sugar and water mixed with dye into it.

- Place the pan on the stove and stir the mixture with a wooden spatula. Once all the sugar has melted, reduce the heat and stop stirring. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from the heat after a couple of minutes and let it cool. Don't overcook the caramel apple syrup after it's cooled, or it will harden and the mixture won't work.

- While the syrup is cooling, insert wooden skewers into the apples. Try to insert them halfway, making sure they fit snugly.

- Tilt the pan slightly and dip the apples into the mixture. Swirl the apples around until they're coated with caramel on all sides.

- Sprinkle the caramel-covered apples with colored sprinkles and place them on a plate greased with vegetable oil.
