Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 2-3 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare all baking ingredients. If the raisins are too dry, soak them in boiling water for 5-10 minutes; otherwise, simply rinse with water. Rinse the apples thoroughly. They will be baked with the skins on, so there's no need to peel them.
  • Using a knife, carefully remove the cores so as not to cut through the fruit.
  • Place raisins and a little sugar into the resulting holes.
  • Wrap each fruit in foil and place on a baking sheet.
  • Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) until done, about half an hour. This will ensure the fruit is thoroughly cooked through while still retaining its shape and skin.
  • Unwrap the foil and let the dish cool for 3 minutes. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve.

Note

The following tips will help you prepare a flavorful and delicious dish correctly:
— The core and seeds of the fruits should be removed. This can be easily done with a knife. Insert it into each fruit near the stem, twist it around the axis, and pull it out along with the core.
— Don't cut all the way through the fruit to prevent the delicious juice from leaking out. Leave about 1 cm of pulp at the bottom, then fill the resulting cup with the filling.
— Bake the apples in a small, high-sided baking sheet. Ideally, the size of the pan should correspond to the number of apples you'll be baking.
— You can place the prepared fruits in a baking dish and only then stuff them.
— To prevent the fruit from burning in the oven and sticking to the pan during baking, pour a little water (up to 2 cm high) into the bottom of the baking pan.
