The apple tree is one of the most widely grown crops in our country. This popularity is due to the trees' ease of maintenance and the high nutritional content of their fruit. Based on comparative characteristics, the most delicious varieties were selected from among the numerous varieties recommended for planting in Russia. Several of them topped the top seven.

Melba

This summer variety was developed in 1898 by Canadian breeders and named after the famous opera singer Nellie Melba. It was later brought to Russia, zoned, and is still successfully grown in all regions except the North and the Far East.
